QUBITECH is proud to announce its participation in QCIDAYS 2025, held April 28–30 at the Eugenides Foundation in Athens, as a member of the HellasQCI initiative. The event was organized by GRNET – National Infrastructures for Research and Technology the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology (QCI-CAT), and UPM – Technical University of Madrid (EuroQCI Spain), under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Digital Governance and supported by the General Secretariat of Telecommunications and Post. As the successor to QKD Days Madrid (2022) and QCI Days Vienna (2024), QCIDAYS 2025 brought together leading stakeholders from across Europe’s quantum ecosystem to showcase progress from the first phase of EuroQCI and to shape its strategic roadmap moving forward.
During QCIDAYS 2025, QUBITECH demonstrated to a wider audience its artifacts developed in the context of HellasQCI, as part of the national demo infrastructure. QUBITECH team showcased its PUF-based QKD authenticator prototype for safeguarding quantum communication nodes without relying on pre-shared keys or keys-at-rest, addressing one of the core vulnerabilities in QKD infrastructures. Designed for seamless integration with any existing QKD system, QUBITECH’s prototype essentially highlights how PUF technology can serve as a lightweight, post-quantum-resilient alternative to conventional cryptographic authentication methods, with potential applications extending beyond QKD to a wide range of quantum-ready and zero-trust architectures. In parallel, QUBITECH also presented a quantum-safe video communication platform, enabling real-time video streaming with end-to-end encryption powered by QKD, underpinning the practical potential of quantum technologies in securing critical communications across digital platforms.
QUBITECH’s presence at QCIDAYS 2025 promoted its role as a key contributor to Europe’s quantum future, demonstrating its commitment to turning advanced research into deployable, real-world future-proof solutions.
