UBITECH kicks-off SafeTravellers Innovation Action on secure and frictionless identity for EU and Third Country National Citizens

UBITECH participates at the kick-off meeting hosted by INOV (January 10, 2024) in Lisbon, Portugal of the SafeTravellers Innovation Action, officially started on January 1st, 2024. The project is funded by the European Commission (Grant Agreement No. 101121269) and spans on the period January 2024 – December 2026. SafeTravellers aims at a) strengthening the security at the borders, b) improving the productivity of the Border Authorities and LEAs by providing them with the appropriate tools to combat identity fraud at the hardware, identity and travel document, and biometrics level, while c) offering a frictionless border crossing experience for EU/TCN citizens as they will not have to stop at the border checkpoints.

UBITECH and UBITECH ENERGY at the kick-off of the ODEON Innovation Action on federated data and intelligence orchestration and sharing for Digital Energy transition

UBITECH and UBITECH ENERGY participate at the kick-off meeting hosted by ETRA (January 9 & 10, 2024) in Valencia, Spain of the ODEON Innovation Action, officially started on January 1st, 2024. The project is funded by the European Commission (Grant Agreement No. 101136128) and spans on the period January 2024 – December 2027. ODEON is conceived under the main principle that the envisaged Digital and Green Transition can only be realized through the creation of an inclusive ecosystem of stakeholders characterized by the integration of a mesh of Data, Intelligence, Service and Market flows, jointly enabling the resilient operation of the energy system under increased RES integration and effective orchestration of flexibility offered by the wealth of distributed energy, building and mobility flexible assets residing at the edges of the system, across prosumers’ premises and LEC boundaries.

UBITECH launches new EDF Development Action on Deployable Special Operations Forces Multi Environment Command Post and C2 System

UBITECH participates at the kick-off meeting hosted by INTRACOM DEFENSE (December 18 & 19, 2023) in Athens, Greece of the PROTEAS EDF Development Action, officially started on December 1st, 2023. The project is funded by the European Defence Fund 2022 Work Programme of the European Commission (Grant Agreement No. 101121371) and spans on the period December 2023 – November 2026. The PROTEAS project aims at providing a prototyped deployable Special Operations Forces (SOF) Command Post (SOFCP) Command & Control (SOFCPC2).

UBITECH announces the launch of the Beta version of mAigov, the LLM-based Digital Assistant of the public administration’s single digital portal (https://www.gov.gr/) of the Government of the Hellenic Republic, leading Greece to the era of Artificial Intelligence. Backed by novel GenerativeAI, LLM and CloudComputing technologies, mAigov achieves a significant milestone with regards to the digital transformation of the Greek state.

QUBITECH talks on “quantum technologies in Greece” at Qiskit Fall Fest 2023

QUBITECH was honored to present a talk on “quantum technologies in Greece” within the framework of the Qiskit Fall Fest 2023 extension event, that took place on Monday 4th of December 2023 in the Informatics department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. This was the first Qiskit extension event to be organized in Greece, which can be regarded as an important milestone for the cultivation of quantum technology endeavours, both in the academic as well as in the private domain.

The first Qiskit Fall Fest Extension Event is going to take place on December 4th in AUTH! Qiskit Fall Fest is a series of events that are organized by students on campuses around the world with the support of IBM; their goal is to develop the quantum community of the campus, stage the set for networking, introduce students to the emerging field of quantum computing, and offer challenges to students to test the skillset acquired during the event.

UBITECH’s Costas Mylonas participates in the final event of frESCO project at Enlit Europe 2023

In the context of Enlit Europe that was held in Paris from November 28 to 30, UBITECH participated in the frESCO project final event, in which the project’s main results and lessons learnt were presented. frESCO project envisions to engage with ESCOs and aggregators and enable the deployment of innovative business models, on the basis of novel energy and integrated energy service bundles that properly combine and remunerate local flexibility for optimizing local energy performance both in the form of energy efficiency (energy savings) and demand side management (demand response).

UBITECH ENERGY’s Ilias Zafeiropoulos talks about storage at ENLIT EUROPE 2023

UBITECH ENERGY attended Enlit Europe that was held in Paris from November 28 to 30, representing the Sinnogenes project. Within ENLIT, Sinnogenes participated in a session titled “Large- and Small-scale storage technologies” that discussed P2G, CAES, hydro storage, molten salt storage, batteries, electric vehicles thermal energy storage (including power to heat, heat pumps, hot water tanks, geothermal, and flywheels focusing on both the transmission and the distribution level.

UBITECH’s Magda Foti participates in the OneNet project session at ENLIT EUROPE 2023

In the context of Enlit Europe that was held in Paris from November 28 to 30, UBITECH participated in the OneNet project session. The vision of OneNet is to provide a seamless integration of all the actors in the electricity network across Europe to create the conditions for a synergistic operation that optimizes the overall energy system while creating an open and fair market structure. This synergistic process is enabled by open IT architectures that guarantee continental level interoperability. This new open architecture will provide new market mechanisms encouraging new business models which will be developed to support both large population areas and small- and medium-sized DSOs and TSOs, in Europe.
