Following their qualification through the national championship, the Portables UBITECH team traveled to Houston to compete among the world’s top robotics teams, demonstrating excellence across both technical performance and overall impact.
The Inspire Award is the most prestigious recognition of the competition, awarded to teams that excel holistically — combining engineering excellence, innovation, strategy, collaboration, and strong community presence. Achieving 3rd place globally confirms the team’s ability to meet the highest standards across all evaluation criteria.
Beyond the competition itself, the team’s journey reflects a broader approach to innovation — one that goes beyond robotics into collaboration, experimentation, and continuous learning. It represents a mindset that is essential for shaping the next generation of technology.
UBITECH’s role in supporting and empowering the Portables UBITECH team is central to this achievement. By investing in young talent, encouraging experimentation, and fostering a culture of curiosity and hands-on innovation, UBITECH actively contributes to building the future of technology through people.
Accompanying the team at the World Championship, Dimitris Alexandrou, Co-Founder & Business Innovation Director of UBITECH, further reinforced this commitment, underlining the importance of connecting education, research, and real-world application.
This distinction goes beyond a competition result. It reflects the emergence of a new generation of innovators capable of competing — and standing out — on the global stage, while showcasing the potential of Greece within the international technology ecosystem.
