UBITECH kicks off the REGALE EuroHPC Innovation Action on equipping next generation HPC Applications with Exascale capabilities

UBITECH participates at the virtual kick-off meeting hosted by ICCS (April 7 & 16, 2021) of the REGALE EuroHPC Innovation Action, officially started on April 1st, 2021. The project is funded by the European Commission and the EU Member States under the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (Grant Agreement No. 956560) and spans on the period April 2021 – March 2024. The REGALE project aspires to pave the way of next-generation HPC applications to exascale systems. To accomplish this, REGALE defines an open architecture, builds a prototype system and incorporate in this system appropriate sophistication in order to equip supercomputing systems with the mechanisms and policies for effective resource utilization and execution of complex applications.

Within REGALE, UBITECH will extend its OLISTIC Graph-based Risk Assessment Framework to scale its performance, which critically depends on the number of assets, number of online sources for analysis and network traffic. In particular, UBITECH will develop data analytics methods for risk assessment at scale, using Spark, machine-learning model training to analyse online sources and model retraining to perform honeypot-based anomaly detection and network data analysis.
