UBITECH participates at the kick-off meeting of the HospAItal research action on hospital transformation through Artificial Intelligence

UBITECH participated at the kick-off meeting, hosted by the CYENS Centre of Excellencein Nicosia (February 13, 2023), of the HospAItal action funded under the CO-DEVELOP programme – that is part of the Research and Innovation Foundation‘s RESTART Programmes for Research, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Cyprus. The 24-month HospAItal project, spanning the period February 2023 – January 2025, aims to leverage and transform the way patients in intensive care units (ICUs) are monitored, where it will allow for core facilities to be shared and linked composing smart services for healthcare professionals, patients, information system managers, and health organization administrations.

UBITECH participates at the kick-off meeting of the TRUST-FOOD Digital Europe action advancing digital skills on blockchain for trusted food supply chains

UBITECH participated at the kick-off meeting hosted by REZOS BRANDS in Patras, Greece (February 7-8, 2023) of the TRUST-FOOD Digital Europe project, officially started on January 1st, 2023. The project is funded by European Commission under Horizon Europe Programme (Grant Agreement No. 101100804) and spans on the period January 2023 – December 2025. TRUST-FOOD is an ambitious Digital Europe project that aspires to support the development of advanced digital skills of people in the labour force, with a particular focus on SMEs owners, managers, and employees, as well as on job seekers, by providing access to high-quality specialized training courses, reflecting the latest developments in the area of Blockchain technologies applied holistically to the Food Supply Chain.

UBITECH participates at the kick-off meeting of the TENSOR Innovation Action on reliable biometric technologies for combating terrorism and organized crime

UBITECH participated at the kick-off meeting hosted by NETCOMPANY-INTRASOFT SA in Athens, Greece (February 1-2, 2023) of the TENSOR Innovation Action, officially started on January 1st, 2023. The project is funded by European Commission under Horizon Europe Programme (Grant Agreement No. 101073920) and spans on the period January 2023 – December 2025. TENSOR will provide Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) a platform that facilitates the biometric evidence extraction, sharing and storage in cross border environments allowing them to share best practices in an automated, robust, secure, privacy-preserving and scalable manner. In addition, the full potential of biometrics technologies will be exploited and their fusion in case of partial evidence gathered in the crime scenes by forensic institutes strengthening their acceptance in the court of justice.

UBITECH undertakes the technical coordination of the INCODE Research & Innovation Actin on Intelligent Collaborative Deployments over Heterogeneous Edge-IoT Environments

UBITECH hosted the kick-off meeting, in Athens, Greece (February 1-2, 2023), of the INCODE Research and Innovation Action, that is funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe Programme (Grant Agreement No. 101093069), spanning the period January 2023 – December 2025. INCODE will design and develop an open platform for the deployment and dynamic management of end-user applications, over distributed, heterogeneous and trusted IoT-Edge node infrastructures, with enhanced programmability features and tools. The platform will do so by implementing innovative design approaches and will constitute a fully-integrated infrastructure under the cloud–managed INCODE architecture. INCODE will contribute to the wider scope of reinforcing Europe’s position in the market of next generation smart systems (sensors and devices) integrated in an evolving Internet of Things and cyber-physical ecosystems with strong capacities at the edge.

UBITECH participated at the kick-off meeting hosted by CIRCE in Zaragoza, Spain (January 26-27, 2023) of the REEFLEX Innovation Action, officially started on January 1st, 2023. The project is funded by European Commission under Horizon Europe Programme (Grant Agreement No. 101096192) and spans on the period January 2023 – December 2026. REEFLEX aims to generate niches of opportunities for new cross-sector energy services provided by SMEs and start-ups in demand side flexibility markets and to increase participation of energy consumers in demand side flexibility markets.

UBITECH ENERGY undertakes the technical coordination of the SINNOGENES Innovation Action on Green Energy Systems Storage

UBITECH ENERGY co-hosts, with UniSystems, the kick-off meeting, in Brussels, Belgium, (January 26-27, 2023) of the SINNOGENES Innovation Action, officially started on January 1st, 2023. The project is funded by European Commission under Horizon Europe Programme (Grant Agreement No. 101096992), and spans on the period January 2023 – December 2026. SINNOGENES aims to develop the Storage INNOvations (SINNO) energy toolkit, a complete framework of methodologies, tools and technologies that will enable the grid integration of innovative storage solutions beyond the state-of-the art, while demonstrating sustainability, technical performance, lifetime, non-dependency on location geographical particularities and cost. It will develop successful energy storage business cases and systems and deploy them in innovative and ‘green’ energy systems at different scales and timeframes.

UBITECH participates at the kick-off meeting of the PISTIS Innovation Action on federated, trusted and fair sharing and trading of interoperable data assets

UBITECH participated at the kick-off meeting hosted by Fraunhofer FOKUS in Berlin, Germany (January 24-25, 2023) of the PISTIS Innovation Action, officially started on January 1st, 2023. The project is funded by European Commission under Horizon Europe Programme (Grant Agreement No. 101093016) and spans on the period January 2023 – June 2026. PISTIS brings forward a reference federated data sharing/trading and monetisation platform for secure, trusted and controlled exchange and usage of proprietary data assets and data-driven intelligence. PISTIS will advance the available techniques and technologies, such as federated data discovery and sharing, DLTs, data non-fungible tokens (NFTs), AI-driven data quality assessment and monetisation, to build trust among stakeholders and assuage their concerns. Such stakeholders will formulate a distributed network of existing and new data spaces with built-in governance brought by PISTIS to eliminate silos while accruing the actual data value and multiplying it through derivative assets in a fair and transparent manner.

UBITECH participates at the kick-off meeting of the LivAI Action on making Adult Education lively through Artificial Intelligence

UBITECH participated at the kick-off meeting hosted by Universitat Jaume I de Castellón (UJI) in Castellon de la Plana, Spain (January 16-17, 2023) of the LivAI “Cooperation Partnerships in Adult Education” Action (KA220-ADU), officially started on November 1st, 2022. The project is funded by European Commission under Erasmus+ programme (Grant Agreement No. KA220-ADU-D54476C0) and spans on the period November 2022 – October 2024. LivAI provides knowledge and skills as well as a certification framework that will standardise those obtained competences and reaching a small but meaningful progress towards enhancing the quality assurance in adult education, constructing a digital platform that allows the monitoring and evaluation (award certification scheme) of the three main target groups: adult educators, adult education institutions and adult learners. The complete framework provides practical guidance for digital transformation of the adult learning centres, training framework for high quality digital learning pathways and a certification mechanism that will ensure high quality standards in a digital era, incorporating the notion of ethical AI and Big Data into the level of adult education.

UBITECH participated at the kick-off meeting hosted by ICCS in Athens, Greece (January 23-24, 2023) of the AERO Research and Innovation Action, officially started on January 1st, 2023. The project is funded by European Commission under Horizon Europe Programme (Grant Agreement No. 101092850) and spans on the period January 2023 – December 2025. AERO aims to upbring and optimize an open-source software ecosystem that encompasses a wide range of software components ranging from operating systems to compilers, runtimes, system software and auxiliary software deployment services for cloud computing.
