UBITECH Kicks Off INTACT Innovation Action: Driving Secure IoT-to-Cloud Computing with Predictive Cybersecurity Tools

UBITECH participates in the recently launched INTACT Innovation Action, a European initiative aimed at advancing secure and efficient IoT-to-Cloud computing. Officially started on October 1, 2024, the INTACT project is funded by the European Commission under Grant Agreement No. 101168438 and will run until September 2027. The kick-off meeting took place on October 7-8, 2024, hosted by Fraunhofer in Berlin, Germany. The INTACT project aims to develop an Integrated Software Toolbox that provides cutting-edge predictive cybersecurity services, optimization, and management for the IoT-to-Cloud continuum. The primary goal is to maximize the security of IoT and Cloud infrastructure while minimizing impacts on computing capacityenergy consumption, and costs—factors critical for the smooth operation of businesses.

UBITECH Kicks Off LICORICE Innovation Action to Develop Reliable and Scalable Tools for Self-Sovereign Identity and Data Protection

UBITECH is proud to announce its participation in the newly launched LICORICE project, an innovative initiative funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe framework (Grant Agreement No. 101168311). LICORICE officially commenced on October 1, 2024, and will span three years until September 2027. The project’s kick-off meeting took place in Paris, hosted by TRIALOG on October 3–4, 2024. LICORICE (reLIable and sCalable tOols foR self-sovereIgn identity and data proteCtion framEwork) aims to address growing concerns around cybersecurity and data privacy in the digital age. The project will deliver advanced tools and technologies for secure online environments, digital services, and processes, supporting both individuals and businesses.

UBITECH’s CYGNUS Dual-Use research action is demonstrated by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Cyprus

The CYGNUS project, coordinated by UBITECH, also having in the consortium ISTOGNOSIS and ACCELIGENCE, was demonstrated by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Cyprus in the frame of European Researcher’s night hosted by the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) of Cyprus. The European Researchers ’Night event aims to encourage the public to become familiar with the world of science and research and at the same time to strengthen the public image of researchers, whilst highlighting the important role they play in society. The European Researchers’ Night event has been organized by the Research and Innovation Foundation of Cyprus since 2006, in collaboration with the main actors of the local research and innovation ecosystem (Public and Private Universities, Research Centers, Non-Governmental Organizations, Businesses, etc.).

UBITECH ENERGY participates in the kick off the ECLIPSE project on reducing energy consumption

UBITECH ENERGY participates at the kick-off meeting hosted by ETRA (September 25 & 26, 2024) in Valencia, Spain of the ECLIPSE Innovation Action, officially started on September 1st, 2024. The project is funded by the European Commission (Grant Agreement No. 101158494) and spans on the period September 2024 – August 2026. ECLIPSE main objective is the implementation and demonstration of the Common European Reference Framework (CERF) for energy consumers applications across the EU, enabling voluntary energy consumption reductions and load shifting, based on recommendations, strategies, and incentives, promoting sustainable energy consumption behaviour and empowerment of final consumers.

Successful completion of UBITECH’s 5G-INDUCE project

UBITECH is thrilled to announce the successful completion of the pioneering EU funded collaborative project 5G-INDUCE, initiated by our Network, Software & System (NSS) Research Group, which also served as the project’s technical manager. Launched in January 2021 and spanning 42 months, this project has been completed and thoroughly reviewed on 23 September 2024, by industry experts, who have commended its significant outcomes, innovative use cases, and groundbreaking work. The 5G-INDUCE project utilized UBITECH’s advanced MAESTRO application orchestrator, interfaced with CNIT’s OSS resource manager, to establish a comprehensive application-driven resource orchestration platform.
