New manuscript analyzing the context of missing unaccompanied migrant minors has been published at Springer Nature

We are happy to announce that the article entitled “Towards examining and addressing the danger of unaccompanied migrant minors going missing”, co-authored by Suite5, NTUA, Frankfurt University and UBITECH, is accepted for publication in the Humanities and Social Sciences Communications Journal by Springer Nature. In this work, the sensitive phenomenon of missing children, and especially the disadvantaged situation of missing unaccompanied migrant minors is discussed.

The article critically assesses current work practices in the EU and proposes a new alert system for missing children cases that integrates empirical data from 26 international expert interviews, in order to improve international communication between stakeholders. The proposed solution has been successfully implemented by three organizations and has already been used in more than 85 real-life cases.
