QUBITECH Showcases Quantum-Secure Communications at ECOC 2025 in Copenhagen

QUBITECH is proud to announce its active participation in the 51st European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC 2025), taking place in Copenhagen from 28 September to 2 October 2025. As one of the world’s premier events for optical communication technologies, ECOC brings together global leaders from industry, research, and innovation. At Booth E1206, QUBITECH joins forces with partners from the Petrus CSA initiative to present a joint demonstration of quantum key distribution (QKD) technology for secure, next-generation communications.

QUBITECH’s contribution to this showcase is its PUF-based QKD node authenticator, a breakthrough technology that delivers:

  • Hardware-rooted, unclonable identities for QKD devices
  • Protection against man-in-the-middle and spoofing attacks
  • Scalable authentication for large quantum communication networks

This innovation provides a trusted authentication layer for QKD deployments, ensuring that quantum-secure communication infrastructures can be both secure and interoperable within real-world telecom environments.

“At ECOC 2025, we are excited to demonstrate how our PUF-based authentication technology enables the secure rollout of large-scale quantum networks,” said Dr. Simos Tsintzos, Co-founder and Chief Technical Officer of QUBITECH. “Together with our HellasQCI and Petrus partners, we are shaping the future of trustworthy and resilient quantum communications.”

Visitors are invited to experience this live demonstration at Booth E1206 (Deutsche Telekom’s booth), where QUBITECH’s team is on hand to showcase how quantum technologies are redefining the standards of communication security.
