UBITECH participates at the kick-off meeting hosted by UPRC (January 16-18, 2024) in Athens, Greece of the COMFORTAGE Research and Innovation Action, officially started on January 1st, 2024. The project is funded by the European Commission (Grant Agreement No. 101137301) and spans on the period January 2024 – December 2027. The COMFORTAGE action constitutes a joint effort of medical experts (i.e., neurologists, psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, nurses, memory clinics), social scientists and humanists, technical experts (i.e., data scientists, AI experts, robotic experts) and Digital Innovation Hubs to establish a pan European framework for Community-based, Integrated and People-Centric prevention, monitoring and progression managing solutions for age-related diseases and disabilities.

UBITECH ENERGY participates at the kick-off meeting hosted by Fraunhofer (January 15 & 16, 2024) in Brussels, Belgium of the TwinEU Innovation Action, officially started on January 1st, 2024. The project is funded by the European Commission (Grant Agreement No. 101136119) and spans on the period January 2024 – December 2026. TwinEU will leverage a unique set of competences coming from grid and market operators, technology providers and research centres to create a concept of Pan European digital twin based on the federation of local twins so to enable a reliable, resilient, and safe operation of the infrastructure while facilitating new business models that will accelerate the deployment of renewable energy sources in Europe.

UBITECH participates at the kick-off meeting hosted by INOV (January 10, 2024) in Lisbon, Portugal of the SafeTravellers Innovation Action, officially started on January 1st, 2024. The project is funded by the European Commission (Grant Agreement No. 101121269) and spans on the period January 2024 – December 2026. SafeTravellers aims at a) strengthening the security at the borders, b) improving the productivity of the Border Authorities and LEAs by providing them with the appropriate tools to combat identity fraud at the hardware, identity and travel document, and biometrics level, while c) offering a frictionless border crossing experience for EU/TCN citizens as they will not have to stop at the border checkpoints.

UBITECH and UBITECH ENERGY participate at the kick-off meeting hosted by ETRA (January 9 & 10, 2024) in Valencia, Spain of the ODEON Innovation Action, officially started on January 1st, 2024. The project is funded by the European Commission (Grant Agreement No. 101136128) and spans on the period January 2024 – December 2027. ODEON is conceived under the main principle that the envisaged Digital and Green Transition can only be realized through the creation of an inclusive ecosystem of stakeholders characterized by the integration of a mesh of Data, Intelligence, Service and Market flows, jointly enabling the resilient operation of the energy system under increased RES integration and effective orchestration of flexibility offered by the wealth of distributed energy, building and mobility flexible assets residing at the edges of the system, across prosumers’ premises and LEC boundaries.

The PROTEAS project aims at providing a prototyped deployable Special Operations Forces (SOF) Command Post (SOFCP) Command & Control (SOFCPC2).

Backed by novel GenerativeAI, LLM and CloudComputing technologies, mAigov achieves a significant milestone with regards to the digital transformation of the Greek state.

QUBITECH was honored to present a talk on “quantum technologies in Greece” within the framework of the Qiskit Fall Fest 2023 extension event, that took place on Monday 4th of December 2023 in the  Informatics department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. This was the first Qiskit extension event to be organized in Greece, which can be regarded as an important milestone for the cultivation of quantum technology endeavours, both in the academic as well as in the private domain.

In the context of Enlit Europe that was held in Paris from November 28 to 30, UBITECH participated in the frESCO project final event, in which the project’s main results and lessons learnt were presented. frESCO project envisions to engage with ESCOs and aggregators and enable the deployment of innovative business models, on the basis of novel energy and integrated energy service bundles that properly combine and remunerate local flexibility for optimizing local energy performance both in the form of energy efficiency (energy savings) and demand side management (demand response).
