UBITECH hosted the kick-off meeting for the CASTOR Innovation Action. The meeting, held in Athens on October 16-17, 2024, officially marked the start of the project which commenced on October 1st, 2024. CASTOR, funded by the European Commission (Grant Agreement No. 101167904), will run for three years, from October 2024 to September 2027, aiming to revolutionize the realm of trustworthy communication across computing environments. CASTOR’s mission is to develop and implement a robust framework for a “Continuum of Trust” that enhances path agility and ensures trustworthy provisioning of devices and services across distributed networks.

AVALANCHE, an EU-funded Innovation Action, aims to make groundbreaking advancements in the fight against crime and terrorism by fostering international cooperation. The project is poised to develop a state-of-the-art, holistic, and versatile solution to enhance the capabilities of Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) across Europe. The platform will address a broad spectrum of transnational illegal activities, including human trafficking, firearms and drug smuggling, child exploitation, terrorism, and cybercrime, all of which are increasingly coordinated through the digital landscape.

Officially started on October 1, 2024, the INTACT project is funded by the European Commission under Grant Agreement No. 101168438 and will run until September 2027. The kick-off meeting took place on October 7-8, 2024, hosted by Fraunhofer in Berlin, Germany. The INTACT project aims to develop an Integrated Software Toolbox that provides cutting-edge predictive cybersecurity services, optimization, and management for the IoT-to-Cloud continuum. The primary goal is to maximize the security of IoT and Cloud infrastructure while minimizing impacts on computing capacity, energy consumption, and costs—factors critical for the smooth operation of businesses.
