UBITECH is proud to announce the appointment of Dr Sophia Karagiorgou, Head of the Data & AI/ML Systems (DAI) Research Group of UBITECH, as an elected member of the Board of Directors of the AI Industry chapter of the AI, Data and Robotics Association (Adra Association (adr-association.eu)). The AI, Data and Robotics Association (Adra, asbl) was founded on May 21, 2021, by five European organisations: BDVA, CLAIRE, ELLIS, EurAI and euRobotics .

UBITECH Kicks Off the CoGNETs Research and Innovation Action Pioneering Swarm Intelligence for Advanced Cognitive Computing and AI-driven IoT Networks

UBITECH’s Katerina Drivakou talks about customer engagement in energy flexibility at EUSEW 2024

UBITECH ENERGY attended this year’s European Sustainable Energy Week that was held in Brussels, Belgium from June 11 to 13, representing the ENFLATE project. The EUSEW Policy conference is the biggest conference dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe. This year, the conference focused on Net-zero energy solutions for a competitive Europe. Within EUSEW 2024, UBITECH ENERGY in collaboration with partners from BeFlexible and STREAM projects participated in a session titled “Unlocking local energy flexibility potential: are customers ready to embrace innovation?” that attracted over 60 attendees sparking discussions on customer engagement. Within this session and across two panels, participants explored how adopting customer-centric approaches can greatly enhance Europe’s energy flexibility and support its broader transition efforts, while also discussing the potential and challenges of integrating this customer-driven flexibility.

UBITECH delivers a web platform for the digital registration and issuance of nationality e-documents for Greek ocean-going vessels

UBITECH is proud to announce the implementation and launch of an innovative platform for the digital registration and issuance of nationality e-documents for Greek ocean-going vessels (niologio.gov.gr). In a ceremony, in the frame of the International Exhibition “POSIDONIA 2024”, at the stand of the Hellenic Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, the first digital application for vessel registration (“niologio”) and the issuance of the corresponding e-document were demonstrated. This groundbreaking platform was presented by the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Christos Stylianidis, the Deputy Minister for Digital Governance, Konstantinos Kyranakis, and the President of the Union of Greek Shipowners, Melinna Travlou, who received the very first digital Certificate of Nationality.

UBITECH presents a scientific paper on task restricted hierarchical control scheme for small logistics at ICRA 2024

The Robotics & Cognitive Systems (RCS) Research Group of UBITECH has edited a scientific publication, entitled “A Task Restricted Hierarchical Control Scheme Facilitating Small Logistics”, that has been accepted for presentation at the 2nd Workshop on Mobile Manipulation and Embodied Intelligence (MOMA.v2), held in conjunction with 2024 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA 2024) in Yokohama, Japan from May 13th to 17th, 2024.
