UBITECH joins CLIMINVEST project to deliver predictive and bankable climate adaptation solutions

UBITECH proudly announces its participation in the newly launched CLIMINVEST research project, titled “Bankable by Design, Continuous, and Predictive Climate Adaptation Investments with Co-Benefits”. The project officially kicked off with its inaugural meeting held from 21st to 23rd May at Milan, hosted by GFT, bringing together a strong consortium of partners to pioneer the next generation of climate adaptation investment frameworks. Funded under the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme (Grant Agreement 101212947), CLIMINVEST seeks to transform climate adaptation investments into continuous, predictive, and replicable solutions that deliver measurable co-benefits for both communities and ecosystems. By designing bankable-by-design methodologies, the project aims to unlock private capital and accelerate the large-scale adoption of climate resilience measures.

UBITECH and QUBITECH host kick-off of SEQURED EDF Action Strengthen Defense Networks for the Quantum Era

UBITECH is proud to host the successful kick-off of the SEQURED EDF Research Action, that focuses on “Strengthening Defense Networks for the Quantum Era.” The kick-off meeting takes place in Athens, Greece, on May 19-20, 2025, marking the official start of a project that promises to future-proof military and defense systems and environments. SEQURED, which officially began on May 1st, 2025, is funded by the European Defence Fund (EDF) under Grant Agreement No. 101168112 and will span from May 2025 to April 2028. The project’s primary objective is to fortify and enhance the resilience of defence systems and communication infrastructures against potential threats from quantum computing attacks.

QUBITECH is proud to announce its participation in QCIDAYS 2025, held April 28–30 at the Eugenides Foundation in Athens, as a member of the HellasQCI initiative. The event was organized by GRNET – National Infrastructures for Research and Technology the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology (QCI-CAT), and UPM – Technical University of Madrid (EuroQCI Spain), under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Digital Governance and supported by the General Secretariat of Telecommunications and Post. As the successor to QKD Days Madrid (2022) and QCI Days Vienna (2024), QCIDAYS 2025 brought together leading stakeholders from across Europe’s quantum ecosystem to showcase progress from the first phase of EuroQCI and to shape its strategic roadmap moving forward.

This groundbreaking initiative leverages Generative AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) to empower citizens in their active participation in the energy transition. mAIEnergy aims to provide a digital assistant designed to enhance energy literacy and digital empowerment among citizens, playing a critical role in the energy transition. mAIEnergy is one of the 18 sub-projects selected for funding by the FFplus Open Call-1 for Innovation Studies, with a total budget of €4 million.

UBITECH Celebrates One Month of Successful Operation of the Avatar-Based Virtual Support Agent for e-Albania Portal

UBITECH proudly marks one month since the successful launch of the Avatar-Based Virtual Support Agent for the e-Albania portal and mobile application (https://e-albania.al/). The project, commissioned by the National Agency for Information Society (AKSHI) of Albania, aims to revolutionize the accessibility and delivery of government e-services through a cutting-edge digital assistant. Since its deployment on January 19, 2025, the virtual assistant has facilitated over 135,000 interactions with citizens, averaging more than 4,000 conversations daily. Notably, nearly 26% of users engage with the avatar interface, highlighting a strong preference for interactive, human-like digital assistance.

UBITECH is actively driving Work Package 5 (WP5), focusing on “Advanced Technology Development, Integration, and Impact Evaluation,” as part of this groundbreaking European project. The EVOSST project, hosted by the University of Western Macedonia in Kozani, Greece, aims to enhance the efficiency, understanding, and overall effectiveness of social services across the European Union. It is funded by the European Commission under Grant Agreement No. 101178789 and spans from February 2025 to January 2028.

UBITECH Kicks Off TwinShip Innovation Action, to enable Green Ship Operations towards Zero Emission Vessels

UBITECH announces the launch of the TwinShip Innovation Action (INTEGRATED DIGITAL TWIN FRAMEWORK TO ENABLE GREEN SHIP OPERATIONS TOWARDS ZERO EMISSION VESSELS), a cutting-edge European Commission-funded project (Grant Agreement No. 101192583). The project officially commenced on February 1st, 2025, and will run until January 2028. The kick-off meeting took place in Brussels, Belgium, on February 6-7, 2025, gathering key stakeholders to align on the vision and strategic objectives of the initiative. The TwinShip consortium is spearheading an initiative to transform the maritime sector by creating an alliance of premier maritime technology, solution & service providers, ship design and shipping firms, classification societies, ports, software developers, and research and academic bodies. This collaboration is centered around a unique, open-source digital platform enriched with data and powered by domain knowledge-based advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence capabilities.
