UBITECH Awarded Cascading Grant from FFplus for mAIEnergy Project: A Generative AI-Based Co-Pilot Supporting Citizens in Energy Transition

UBITECH has been awarded a cascading grant from FFplus for its innovative project, mAIEnergy. This groundbreaking initiative leverages Generative AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) to empower citizens in their active participation in the energy transition. mAIEnergy aims to provide a digital assistant designed to enhance energy literacy and digital empowerment among citizens, playing a critical role in the energy transition. mAIEnergy is one of the 18 sub-projects selected for funding by the FFplus Open Call-1 for Innovation Studies, with a total budget of €4 million.

UBITECH Celebrates One Month of Successful Operation of the Avatar-Based Virtual Support Agent for e-Albania Portal

UBITECH proudly marks one month since the successful launch of the Avatar-Based Virtual Support Agent for the e-Albania portal and mobile application (https://e-albania.al/). The project, commissioned by the National Agency for Information Society (AKSHI) of Albania, aims to revolutionize the accessibility and delivery of government e-services through a cutting-edge digital assistant. Since its deployment on January 19, 2025, the virtual assistant has facilitated over 135,000 interactions with citizens, averaging more than 4,000 conversations daily. Notably, nearly 26% of users engage with the avatar interface, highlighting a strong preference for interactive, human-like digital assistance.

UBITECH Leads Technology Integration in EU’s EVOSST Research Project to Revolutionize Social Services

UBITECH announces its participation in the EVOSST (Evaluation and Valorization of Social Services for a Sustainable Transition) Research & Innovation Action, which officially launched on February 1, 2025. UBITECH is actively driving Work Package 5 (WP5), focusing on “Advanced Technology Development, Integration, and Impact Evaluation,” as part of this groundbreaking European project. The EVOSST project, hosted by the University of Western Macedonia in Kozani, Greece, aims to enhance the efficiency, understanding, and overall effectiveness of social services across the European Union. It is funded by the European Commission under Grant Agreement No. 101178789 and spans from February 2025 to January 2028.

UBITECH Kicks Off TwinShip Innovation Action, to enable Green Ship Operations towards Zero Emission Vessels

UBITECH announces the launch of the TwinShip Innovation Action (INTEGRATED DIGITAL TWIN FRAMEWORK TO ENABLE GREEN SHIP OPERATIONS TOWARDS ZERO EMISSION VESSELS), a cutting-edge European Commission-funded project (Grant Agreement No. 101192583). The project officially commenced on February 1st, 2025, and will run until January 2028. The kick-off meeting took place in Brussels, Belgium, on February 6-7, 2025, gathering key stakeholders to align on the vision and strategic objectives of the initiative. The TwinShip consortium is spearheading an initiative to transform the maritime sector by creating an alliance of premier maritime technology, solution & service providers, ship design and shipping firms, classification societies, ports, software developers, and research and academic bodies. This collaboration is centered around a unique, open-source digital platform enriched with data and powered by domain knowledge-based advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence capabilities.

UBITECH participates at the kick-off of the COP-PILOT Innovation Action, that focuses on the delivery of a “Collaborative Open Platform for PILOTing services across emerging smart IoT and Edge computing environments.” The event took place in Athens, Greece, on January 28-29, 2025, marking the official start of a project that is set to transform the landscape of IoT and edge computing. COP-PILOT, which officially began on January 1, 2025, is funded by Horizon Europe under Grant Agreement No. 101189819 and will span from January 2025 to December 2027. COP-PILOT aims to drive the digital transformation of various industrial sectors by integrating edge computing, advanced 5G connectivity and decentralised data processing. The initiative focuses on developing an open collaborative platform that manages end-to-end services in various industrial domains. This platform is designed to effectively manage different sectors, ensuring security, automation and intelligence, while seamlessly integrating with underlying technologies.

UBITECH and QUBITECH drive PIQASO Digital Europe Action to accelerate Post-Quantum Cryptography Transition

UBITECH and its subsidiary QUBITECH announce their participation in the PIQASO Digital Europe Action, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at implementing a robust framework for “Post-Quantum Cryptography As-a-Service for Common Transmission Systems (CTS) and Infrastructures.” The project officially launched on January 1, 2025, with a kick-off meeting held on January 22-23, 2025, in Athens, Greece. PIQASO is funded by the European Commission (Grant Agreement No. 101190366) and will run from January 2025 to December 2027. The PIQASO project seeks to provide a comprehensive suite of quantum-safe cryptographic services that will enable secure and future-proof communication in the face of quantum computing threats. It will offer a fully optimized and operational “as-a-service” solution for a range of cryptographic algorithms and protocols, including key encapsulation, digital signatures, key exchange, authentication, and more. This service aims to safeguard infrastructures by ensuring that legacy systems can be easily integrated with quantum-safe encryption without requiring additional specialist hardware.
