UBITECH’s Katerina Drivakou talks about customer engagement in energy flexibility at EUSEW 2024

UBITECH ENERGY attended this year’s European Sustainable Energy Week that was held in Brussels, Belgium from June 11 to 13, representing the ENFLATE project. The EUSEW Policy conference is the biggest conference dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe. This year, the conference focused on Net-zero energy solutions for a competitive Europe. Within EUSEW 2024, UBITECH ENERGY in collaboration with partners from BeFlexible and STREAM projects participated in a session titled “Unlocking local energy flexibility potential: are customers ready to embrace innovation?” that attracted over 60 attendees sparking discussions on customer engagement. Within this session and across two panels, participants explored how adopting customer-centric approaches can greatly enhance Europe’s energy flexibility and support its broader transition efforts, while also discussing the potential and challenges of integrating this customer-driven flexibility.

UBITECH delivers a web platform for the digital registration and issuance of nationality e-documents for Greek ocean-going vessels

UBITECH is proud to announce the implementation and launch of an innovative platform for the digital registration and issuance of nationality e-documents for Greek ocean-going vessels (niologio.gov.gr). In a ceremony, in the frame of the International Exhibition “POSIDONIA 2024”, at the stand of the Hellenic Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, the first digital application for vessel registration (“niologio”) and the issuance of the corresponding e-document were demonstrated. This groundbreaking platform was presented by the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Christos Stylianidis, the Deputy Minister for Digital Governance, Konstantinos Kyranakis, and the President of the Union of Greek Shipowners, Melinna Travlou, who received the very first digital Certificate of Nationality.

UBITECH coordinates TraCEREAL – a new research action on cereal supply chain quality control

UBITECH’s Robotics & Cognitive Systems (RCS) Research Group leads the collaborative research project TraCEREAL, that will result in a Comprehensive Cereal Supply ChainQuality Control and Decision Making Framework for the Cypriot ecosystem. The 24-month TraCEREAL project is funded by the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) of the Republic of Cyprus, in the frame of the CODEVELOP-AG-SH-HE/0823 Call for proposals of the “CO-DEVELOP” research and innovation programme. The TraCEREAL project is dedicated to investigating how Blockchain technology, in conjunction with advanced IoT capabilities, can contribute to the establishment of resilient supply-chain operations within Cyprus. The project’s objective is to develop and showcase a functional prototype system composed an intelligent algorithmic framework, seamlessly integrated with IoT technology, that can assist policymakers and industry stakeholders in constructing more resilient cereal supply chains tailored to the specific needs of Cyprus.
