UBITECH Launches LLM4CIP Digital Europe Action to Advance AI-Driven Cybersecurity for Critical Infrastructure Protection

UBITECH proudly announces its participation as technical coordinator in the newly launched EU-funded Digital Europe Action LLM4CIP (LLM-Powered Cybersecurity Preparedness and Risk Mitigation for Critical Infrastructure Protection), which officially kicked off with a consortium meeting hosted by project coordinator ASSIST SOFTWARE SRL on January 27, 2026, in Suceava, Romania. Spanning from January 2026 to December 2028 under Grant Agreement Nr 101249717, LLM4CIP brings together leading organizations committed to transforming cybersecurity capabilities for essential services and critical infrastructures across Europe. The LLM4CIP project addresses significant gaps in cybersecurity frameworks highlighted by the NIS2 Directive by providing a transformative, AI-driven approach to cybersecurity preparedness. The envisioned LLM4CIP platform will empower end-user organisations to simulate, detect, analyse, and mitigate cyber risks with unprecedented precision and accessibility.

UBITECH Launches KINETIKA Innovation Action to Advance the Digitization and Analysis of Dynamic Cultural Heritage Objects

UBITECH announces the official launch of KINETIKA, a new EU co-funded Innovation Action titled “Advancing the Digitization and Analysis of Dynamic Cultural Heritage Objects”, marking a significant step forward in the protection, understanding and sustainable management of complex cultural artefacts. The project’s kick-off meeting is hosted by the coordinating partner, Universidad de Salamanca, and takes place on 21 January 2026 in Spain. Funded under Grant Agreement No. 101233379, KINETIKA runs from January 2026 to December 2028, spanning a 36-month period. The project addresses the growing need to preserve cultural heritage objects that are not static, but dynamic in nature, such as mechanisms, structures and artefacts with moving or interacting components. By capturing both their physical form and internal complexity, KINETIKA introduces a new paradigm for understanding heritage objects as living systems rather than static exhibits.

UBITECH announces the official launch of ENFORCE – Enforcing End-Users-driven Secure Services Across Diverse Domains in the Computing Continuum, a new European research project coordinated by the company. The project kick-off meeting is hosted by UBITECH on 20–21 January 2026 in Athens, bringing together the project partners to initiate a 36-month collaborative effort that will run from January 2026 to December 2028. UBITECH Contributes to the Launch of the DETANGLE Digital Europe Project Advancing EU Cybersecurity Compliance and Resilience

UBITECH announces its participation in the newly launched European research project DETANGLE, titled “DElivering holistic, cusTomised And easy-to implement solutioNs towards efficient implementation of EU leGislation and compLiancE”. The project officially kicked off with a two-day meeting hosted by ITML on 14–15 January 2026 in Athens, Greece, marking the beginning of a 36-month collaboration running until December 2028 under Grant Agreement No. 101249446. DETANGLE aims to address critical challenges related to the implementation, supervision, and enforcement of EU cybersecurity legislation by delivering a set of highly innovative, integrated, and cost-effective services tailored to the needs of a wide range of stakeholders. UBITECH launches the CyberAId Digital Europe Action on AI-Driven Cybersecurity for Financial Service Providers

UBITECH proudly announces the launch of CyberAId, a new European research and innovation project titled “AI-Driven Cybersecurity for Financial Service Providers”, aiming to significantly enhance the cyber-resilience of European Critical Infrastructures (CIs) in the financial and other industrial sectors. CyberAId officially kicks off with a General Assembly meeting hosted by OTE on 15–16 January 2026 in Athens, Greece. UBITECH acts as the coordinating partner of the project, overseeing its successful implementation at administrative, financial, scientific, and technical levels. The project is funded under Grant Agreement No. 101249596, runs from January 2026 to December 2028, and has a 36-month duration. CyberAId will significantly strengthen the cyber-resilience of European Critical Infrastructures by developing and deploying a novel agentic AI infrastructure. This infrastructure will autonomously and intelligently coordinate and orchestrate a pool of state-of-the-art cybersecurity tools and services, addressing the evolving threat landscape of key digital technologies in the financial sector.

UBITECH Moderates Expert Panel on AI-Driven Cybersecurity and the Future Resilience of Financial Services

On January 14, 2026, UBITECH’s Giannis Ledakis, Head of the Computing Systems & Software Engineering Research Group, moderated a high-level panel discussion titled “AI based Cybersecurity and the future of financial services resilience”, held in the scope of the AI Enables Cybersecurity Meetup. The event was organized by COSMOTE and supported by the Big Data Value Association (BDVA), alongside the Digital Europe projects VIGILANCE, coordinated by GFT Technologies, and CyberAId, coordinated by UBITECH. The panel brought together distinguished experts from across the financial and technology ecosystem, including Nikos Kogios from OTE GroupKostas Metaxas of KM CubeKonstantinos Kalogerakis from Cloud Office, and George Panou of Eurobank. UBITECH launches the VIGILANCE Digital Europe Action on Versatile Intelligent aGents for Interconnected Ledgers and Autonomous Next-gen Cybersecurity Ecosystems

UBITECH announces its participation in the newly launched European research project VIGILANCE – Versatile Intelligent aGents for Interconnected Ledgers and Autonomous Next-gen Cybersecurity Ecosystems (Grant Agreement No. 101249737). The project officially kicked off with a two-day meeting hosted by OTE on 12–13 January 2026 in Athens, Greece. VIGILANCE is a 36-month research and innovation action running from January 2026 to December 2028 and is coordinated by GFT. The project brings together a strong European consortium with the shared ambition of transforming the cybersecurity landscape for Critical Infrastructures, public-sector organisations, and private enterprises. The primary goal of VIGILANCE is to lower the effort and cost required by cybersecurity vendors and Critical Infrastructure operators to establish, deploy, and operate intelligent cyber-defence strategies based on Zero Trust Architecture principles.
