UBITECH participated in the “Blockchain Applications for Digital Finance” of H2020 INFINITECH Stakeholders’ Workshop Series

UBITECH participated in the workshop “Blockchain Applications for Digital Finance” organized by the H2020 INFINITECH project which was held online on the 4th of March 2021  as part of the project’s Stakeholders’ Workshop Series. The main topic of the specific workshop was the innovative blockchain applications for finance beyond cryptocurrencies. Mr Dimitris Miltiadou, delivery manager of the Data Science and Analytics research group of UBITECH, participated as speaker and panellist at the workshop. The workshop attracted people from both the finance and insurance sectors such as employees of banks and financial institutions, as well as people from the blockchain community, such as blockchain experts, consultants and integrators of blockchain solutions.

During the workshop, Dimitris Miltiadou presented the innovative prototype solution of the blockchain-enabled Consent Management System that UBITECH is leading the development efforts in the context of the WP4 entitled Interoperable Data Exchange and Semantic Interoperability. The prototype solution offers a decentralised and robust blockchain-enabled consent management mechanism, that will enable the sharing of the customers’ consent to exchange and utilise their customer data across different banking institutions. It enables the financial institutions to effectively manage and share their customers’ consents in a transparent and unambiguous manner. It is capable of storing the consents and their complete update history with complete consents’ versioning in a secure and trusted manner.
